Strawberry Velvet Dessert

Strawberry Velvet Dessert

In a bowl, melt a cube of butter. Next add
1 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
Stir together and plop into a 9x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for
15-20 minutes stirring often. Remove from oven, reserve 1/3 of the crumbs
for the top. Spread the rest of the crumbs as best as you can across the
9x13" pan and set aside.

In a large Kitchen Aid or Bosch mixer combine:
2 egg whites
3/4 cup sugar
2 TBSP.lemon juice
1 1/2-2 cups frozen strawberries, partly thawed
Beat at low speed, for about 2 minutes. Then beat at high speed till thick peaks form
(about 15-20 minutes) This will triple in size at least!!! Fold in 4oz. of cool whip and spoon
over crumbs in pan. Smooth in pan and sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Cover and freeze
at least 6 hours or overnight. Serve directly from freezer!!! Enjoy!!!
